Loxeal 85-86 Thread Sealant High Temperature Anaerobic Adhesive 50ml Loxeal 85-86 is a high strength anaerobic adhesive for locking and sealing threaded joints on all metals, in both free and forced matings. It maintains its sealing performance up to +200°C and offers high resistance to thermal shock, vibration, water, gas, oils, fuels, refrigerant fluids and many other chemicals – making it the choice for hot pipework, gas lines and demanding sealing jobs where standard sealants fall short. Apply a continuous bead circumferentially, 1-2 threads back from the leading edge, using enough product to give a complete seal. Assemble and tighten the joint, then wipe off any uncured excess. Allow to cure before pressurising. On passive surfaces or in cold conditions, pre-treat with Loxeal Activator 11 (this may reduce final strength). Do not contaminate the adhesive with metal; cut the nozzle to the required bead size. The liquid product can damage coatings, some plastics and elastomers, and may cause stress cracking in some thermoplastics. High strength – for disassembly, heat parts to +150°C/+250°C, use normal tools, then remove cured residue mechanically and clean with acetone.
